The Texas Destination Imagination State Tournament will be on March 25-26, 2022 at The University of Texas at Arlington. The Award Ceremony will be at Choctaw Stadium (formerly Globe Life Park Arlington).
All Destination Imagination teams advancing to the State Tournament will register online. The advancing team manager will need to sign in to their account to register. Please check with your team's team manager for instructions. This information was provided to each advancing team manager and can also be found in the Team Manager Resource section below.
Important Site Restrictions- 2022 State Tournament
- No Glitter
A team with glitter will be allowed to compete, however, any glitter not cleaned up by the team will result in an unsportsmanlike conduct deduction. This restriction includes common areas as well as the challenge sites.

- Dry Ice with approval
Lodging- The Sheraton Arlington Hotel, 1500 Convention Center Drive, Arlington TX 76011 is the hotel reserved for the appraisers. Teams are not to book rooms at this hotel. If a team books a room at this hotel, your team will not be scored. Please check with your school district for your team's travel needs and policies. Your school or team manager will be responsible for booking their lodging if needed.
Required Spectator Admission Wristband- Our tournament will be an in-person tournament. Therefore, all spectators will be required to purchase admission wristbands to gain entrance to all the tournament events that weekend. We strongly encourage you to purchase them in advance.
Advance Purchase Spectator Wristbands- $15.00 ages 4 and up and 3 and under .01. The link is provided below. No refunds are allowed.
- Contact your team manager to place an order with the team. The deadline to order with your team is March 8, 2022. (Your team manager will receive all State merchandise during on-site registration).
- Purchase your own spectator wristbands by using the link. ( A two wristband minimum is required and they will be mailed to you) The deadline to order is March 14, 2022, using the provided link.
Purchasing Wristbands On-Site- $20.00 ages 4 and up and ages 3 under free of charge. No refunds are allowed.
- Friday Wristband Sales- The MAC on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
- Saturday Wristband Sales- The University Center on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Wristbands will not be sold outside of these times and locations. A wristband is required for all tournament events. They will not be sold at the Award Ceremony.
Texas Destination Imagination State Tournament Pins and T-shirts - pins and t-shirts are only available to teams certified to advance to the State Tournament. Please contact your team manager. Team managers can find step-by-step instructions by clicking here.
Printing an Invoice: The Team Manager will log into their account and open up their 2022 Texas Destination Imagination State Tournament Registration. Select view statement to print your invoice or receipt. Please allow 2-3 business days to process if you submit a purchase order or mail a school check. No personal checks are allowed. Please see payment instructions within the State Tournament Registration Instructions. Please be mindful of the current USPS issue and delays and plan accordingly to meet the deadline of March 8, 2022.

TX DI State Tournament Team Order Instructions- Team Managers will use these instructions to assist them when purchasing state t-shirts, state pins, and spectator wristbands as a team. These items are optional and will be picked up at on-site registration on Friday. The deadline to order is March 8, 2021. You may purchase state t-shirts and pins on site. Prices will be slightly higher and supply will be limited. Our office does not sell regional items. Please contact your region for all regional items.
School District Sponsoring your Team Checklist- Team Managers will use the checklist to assist them when turning in their paperwork to their school district. An official P.O. or payment must be met by March 8, 2022, to secure the team's spot on the schedule.
School District Paying with Credit Card- A school district may click on the blue clickable link to pay for 3 or more teams. If you have less than 3 teams, please pay at registeryourteam.org. Your team manager will be responsible for submitting invoices and receipts to their school district (see how to print invoices/receipts).
Completing Competition Paperwork Online - Learn how to submit your challenge paperwork for our tournament on your destinationimagination.org dashboard. You will need to sign in to your team manager's Learning Module System account to access the video. Be sure you complete and submit all paperwork prior to Friday, March 25, 2022. You will be providing a screenshot of your online checklist or paper copy at on-site registration/check-in. Please note; completing your competition paperwork on destinationimagination.org is a separate task from online tournament registration (registeryourteam.org) and on-site registration/check-in (UTA). You will complete all three tasks.
