Texas Creative Problem Solving Organization, Inc. was organized in 1999 as a non-profit organization to promote creative problem solving competitions in Texas. Each year, the TXCPSO Board of Directors selects the creative problem solving competition that we feel is best for our members. Since 1999, the board has selected Destination ImagiNation.

Each year, over two thousand (2000) Texas creative problem solving teams compete throughout the state. Many teams will begin working in September, but others begin the process later in the year. After weeks and months of preparation, the teams will begin competition at the regional level during the months of February and March. There are sixteen Texas Destination ImagiNation regions in Texas. The winning teams will advance to the Affiliate Tournament, April 4 -5, 2008 at Round Rock. The first and second place winners will advance to the global tournament to be held at the University of Tennessee.
