Texas DI CVS Challenge
Welcome to the Texas DI CVS Challenge
The CVS Challenge is open to all Texas teams. The team does not have to be a DI team. The team does not have to have a membership number. However, we will follow DI rules in that a team needs to be 2 to 7 members. The level is determined by the age or grade level of the oldest member. All team members must be in Elementary, Middle of High School. And of course, the teams aren’t allowed to accept outside assistance when working on and presenting their solution.
To participate, contact the Regional Director for your area. Regional Director information is on this website. The Regional Director will provide your team the challenge and the Legos donated by CVS.
Then your team will execute the challenge while the Team Manager and or another adult video records your solution. You do not need to record the reading of the challenge. The video should start when time begins and the team begins the solution. The video should end when the team completes the solution. The appraisers are not looking for a polished professional video but are looking at how well the team plans and solves the challenge. The viewers want to hear the team and see what team members are doing. So, feel free to get in close and focus on the team.
After the team completes the video, you will need to do the following:
- Upload the video to youtube.com. You will need to create a youtube or google account if you do not already have one.
- Publish the video for public viewing, but it is recommended that you disable comments.
- Then you need to email the youtube url address that youtube creates for you to ganderson@26miles.com. Please include the youtube url address, team name, team manager name and team manger email address in the email.
Your youtube link will be added on this page as well as Facebook and Twitter.
All videos must be submitted by December 1, 2010. No videos will be accepted after the December 1 deadline.
The top 3 most viewed videos will be appraised and prizes awarded to the winners. So, be sure to promote your video and have your family and friends watch.
