Tournament Results

The 2012 Affiliate Tournament will be held on April 13 - 14 in Corpus Christi.

Tournament Registration and the team mixer will be held on the USS Lexington, 2914 North Shoreline Blvd and the closing ceremony will be at the American Bank Center, 1901 North Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78401.

Tournament Registration Fee

• Tournament registration fee is $125.00 ($150 for tXc teams) if paid by March 27, 2012.
• Registrations paid after March 27 will incur an additional $50 fee. The late fee is automatically generated.

Bonus Teams: Texas DI has started an exciting new Bonus Team program to allow more teams to participate in the Affiliate Tournament in Corpus Christi.  In addition to the teams who qualify for the Affiliate Tournament from each region, selected teams from across the state who came close to qualifying but didn’t quite make it will be invited to participate.  These invitations will be issued in early March, and must be accepted promptly.  So if your team almost qualified for advancement to the Affiliate Tournament, and you’d still like to go, hang onto your sets, props, and costumes – and most of all your creativity – and stay alert for that phone call or e-mail in early March!. 

Team Hotel Reservations:

We ask all those who plan on attending the State Tournament in Corpus Christi make their reservations through the Convention and Visitors Bureau website.  Texas DI receives a rebate per room per night for every room booked through the CVB.  This rebate helps offset the cost of of travel expenses of our appraisers.  This link IS NOT FOR APPRAISERS.  Appraisers attending the state tournament are given specific information on how to obtain a hotel room.

The OMNI Marina is the appraisers and officials hotel.  Teams are NOT to make reservations at this hotel.  Teams that stay in the hotel risk an unsportsmanlike conduct deduction from their team scores.

The deadline to pre-order Pins and T-shirt is Sunday, March 11,2012 at midnight, using Pay Pal only.

If you missed the order deadline, you can purchase your items at the DIme Store (prices are slightly higher), if you missed the deadline.  Please check your order to make sure it has been marked PAID, if you placed an order and paid. You will need to bring a copy of your order and receipt to the tournament.

The following weights will be available at the Affiliate Tournament for each level.  Additional weights will not be provided.

Structure Tester Dimensions

• Tester Base:  18" x 18" x 3-5/8" thick
• Pressure Board:  18" x 18" x 1-5/8" thick (Weight = 10 lbs)
• Safety Pole Height:  28"  Measured from the floor to the top of the pole.
• Teams may add one 12" extension pole (provided by tournament)

Forms

Newly Added Requirement for the 2012 Affiliate Tournament

All teams must present a copy of their Registration Form, marked paid. All Advancing to Globals Teams will be required to present this form again at the mandatory meeting following the awards. Please log into your account and print your Registration Form, marked paid. We will not have access to a computer on site. You must  provide your own forms.

Site Restrictions for Affiliate Tournament: 

Texas DI has adopted the following site restrictions for DI Tournaments.

The following items may not be used during a team performance.

• Dry Ice
• Silly String

The following items are not allowed during the Team Mixer or Award Ceremony

Note that the use of confetti is not restricted for a team's performance but the team is responsible for cleaning up the site at the end of their performance.
